Spreading the Stage Magic in primary and secondary schools and colleges
Singing Club
One way or another, Singing is part of our life since the earliest years, whether is a lullaby sung to sleep by a parent or the opening theme song from a cartoon or TV programme.
Singing connects us with our inner-self, releases stress, give us a deep vocal control and, once learned, is a skill you won't forget for life.
The good news is that almost without exception, everyone can sing competently and enjoy singing across the lifespan.
D&A offers active and stimulating singing sessions for children and teenagers aged 4 to 18, in colleges, infant, primary and secondary schools. Plus private classes at your own place, ideal if your child is preparing for an audition or a performance.
Highly qualified and experienced teachers will go directly to your school and home. The aim is to make the benefits of singing and in general of performing arts accessible to everyone, no matter what, promoting the development of self-confidence and self-esteem to those very young people who will lead our tomorrow.
From afterschool clubs, lunchtime clubs, breakfast clubs, let alone sessions during curriculum hours and full day workshops we are really what you are looking for!
Our instructors are all individually selected and all experts and professionals in the sector. They are all friendly, sparkling and determined. Let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to accommodate you.
The benefits of Singing at a young age
In young age, singing helps to develop multitasking and memory. From remembering lyrics to remembering a cue to start singing, the brain learns to be able to handle more tasks at the same time. And last but not least, singing simply strengthens a feeling of togetherness, from a choir to a duet or even just an improvised song hummed along with friends.
Singing can also be a great teaching tool for children, as many of them do not think of singing as "work" and willingly participate in disciplines where they normally struggle, as for example learning a foreign language without too much effort.
Our Singing Clubs can work along with those disciplines if requested from the school.

SINGING PROMOTES THE REPEATED USE OF THE "MEMORY MUSCLE"

"Successful singing is important because it builds self-confidence, promotes self-esteem, always engages the emotions, promotes social inclusion, supports social skill development, and enables young people of different ages and abilities to come together successfully to create something special in the arts."
